rauch is the largest European supplier of wardrobe and bedroom ranges. We look back with pride on our company history, which has been shaped by craftsmanship. The history of a family business that began in 1897 with a small carpenter's workshop and is now being continued by the 4th generation.

The new 50,000 square metre and 520 metre long production facility goes into operation. The new plant also marks Rauch's entry into the production of furniture with printed surfaces. With the computer-controlled production lines, a finished bedroom and youth bedroom now rolls off the production line every minute.

Purchase of a chipboard plant in Markt Bibart (site area 14,382 m²) from the Kreibaum company to optimise the value chain. Rauch now produces its own chipboard for furniture production.

After the end of the Second World War, the third generation joins the company with Wendelin, Günther and Heinz, the grandsons of the company founder. Production is focussed on the bedroom, kitchen and small furniture sectors.

An innovative production concept of separate machine room and separate machine hall is realised with a new hall construction. The number of employees exceeds the hundred mark.

After some ups and downs in the early 1930s, Rauch buys the Emil Grein furniture factory in Freudenberg. The new managing directors are Wendelin and his son Otto.

In Freudenberg, Baden-Württemberg, 25-year-old Wendelin Rauch founds a small carpentry business. He mainly produces small pieces of furniture there.
